From Framing to Finish My Drywall Story

 So, this was an unusual project. The frame for this drywall project was from an old theater in the Las Vegas area. The wood was so petrified, I had to use nails, as the screws would not work. 

After cutting and installing the needed pieces, I was able to recreate the walls that were originally covered only with thin veneer.  

This was on a home that needed to have walls on the upper floor around the entrance, to convert it into a third bedroom.

The Art of Skim Coat Plaster

 When a surface of a wall or ceiling is rough, damaged or just plain ugly, one option is to tear it out and install new drywall. Another is to resurface with joint compound, creating a smooth surface where once its ready, it can then be primed and painted. I have been doing this technique for over 20 years now.
